I use students' prior knowledge to develop scaffolds; I am familiar with subject matter/content; I am aware of my students' cognitive development; I plan instruction with clear objectives; I plan with academic language and explain what that entails to the students.

I connect with my students' prior knowledge/experiences and culture; I conduct informal assessments to determine starting points and compare how they have grown; I understand and expand on cultural diversity/the student feels safe around me to learn; I check for understanding and scaffold the instruction to fit their needs.
Conducted extensive resources in curricular development/UDL-driven lesson plans; I setup/managed/maintained LMS (Learning Management Systems) for instruction and assessments; I utilized or developed/design learning games to assess students and adapt the curriculum to support their needs; I am aware of the value of cultural perspectives.
Use of reading websites/curriculum materials such as Newsela.com; Usage of games that have EBP in mind; I design/develop and utilize ELA (SADAIE) lesson plans (such as word planning); I build on students' interest in future career prospects by drawing out what they understand and expand on their knowledge of what is possible; I utilize jigsaw strategies such as where to read parts of an article and developed the lesson through interactive discussions.
I integrate a wide range of custom-made interactive resources (such as hand-coded websites) with accessibility in mind (i.e., Zombie Apoc. project); My usage of technology is rigorous and comprehensive (i.e., whiteboard.fi, Kahoot!, and personalized web applications and use of authoring tools to drive instruction); I know how to adapt to student needs and showing innovation with challenging content.
I provide differentiation through technology, small groups, visuals, auditorial/text-to-speech functionalities, video lessons with captions, and opportunities for myself or students to pantomime what they understand.
